To all who dare to enter Econo Lodge, Eagle Nest, NM, beware. The beds are dirty, the electrical plugs do not have covers, there is not AC, light fixtures hang from the ceiling. Very unsafe place. You will be told to open the window if your room is warm. There is no screen on some of the windows. At least the room we were in. How safe is that? AND the owner, Richard, is not true to his word. He is rude and condescending. He will charge you more than stated and then when you question him he will tell you to get another place at 9pm when there is only 3 places in the town to lodge. BEWARE!
Spur of the moment road trip on labor day weekend. Very friendly staff, we weren't going to have breakfast in the morning but when we were checking out decided to have breakfast and man am I glad we changed our mind the biscuits and gravy were absolutely amazing. They are very eager to please their guests. Only reason im giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the bed and pillows were not very comfortable, however, everything else was good!
Great quaint rustic lodge in the most beautiful part of New Mexico. Biscuit and gravy for breakfast and coffee is perfect. The review about bed bugs is a lie, this hotel has never had bed bugs.
Poor facilities, but acceptable for the price. Continental breakfast usually included is small, but fast and easy. Rooms kept up to expectations but expectations a aren't high.
Great View, Wonderful people and will do anything to make your stay a great time! It's just a stone's throw to the lake, "What a View!!"
